he 60x30TX (“60 by 30 Tex”) higher education strategic plan contains four broad goals. Each goal contains a set of targets that will move the state toward reaching one or more goals. Many stakeholders across Texas will need to develop and implement a wide range of strategies to meet each target.

In order to meet the workforce demands and intellectual capital expectations of the next generations of Texans, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) has issued a statewide educational goal calling for 60 percent of adults aged 25 to 34 to hold college degrees or certificates by 2030.

Texas has now launched 60x30TX, the new higher education strategic plan which aims to position Texas among the highest achieving states in the country and maintain its global competitiveness. 60x30TX is entirely student-centered: its overarching goal is that 60 percent of young adults (25-34) in Texas will hold some type of postsecondary credential by 2030.
This toolkit is prepared for two audiences, both of which are businesses or employers. First, it is designed to reach employers who have existing internship programs to provide information about how those programs can help meet the 60x30TX strategic goals and targets.

Tarleton State University uses the Digital Measures software package to demonstrate compliance with proper faculty credentials on a course by course basis and faculty are notified by email once per semester to upload their appropriate credentials for course justifications.
